The tough keep working, 20 feet below street-level in freezing temperatures! This video shows one of our construction workers shoot concrete into the steel rebar forming the underground parkade wall on the west side of Beachborough. There is a worker following behind the shooter finishing the wall to a smooth surface before it begins to set. The pressure and weight of the concrete hose requires incredible physical strength and balance for the applicator and for the guy holding the weight of the hose on his neck and shoulder! There are ten men down there, most of whom are obscured by the concrete vapor and fog mist. The wall will be 90% strength within 24 hrs so they have to work fast under extreme conditions regardless of the time of day. It was well after quitting time when these guys were still giving maximum effort for us. Thanks to all the workers for their hard work and dedication.
